About us

Integrated Core Systems builds ICore Blocks — a block-diagram modelling environment for control, robotics and machine-learning systems, exporting to ten languages including C, C++, Rust, VHDL and PLC Structured Text, with a Simulink bridge and sample-by-sample verification of the generated code.

We exhibit at engineering and industry conferences, mostly in the United States and Europe, and we need people on the stand.

See what you'd be representing: systemsicore.com · docs.systemsicore.com The role

Each engagement is a fixed-term contract tied to one conference. You travel to the venue, staff our booth for the duration of the event, and return. Nothing carries over between events, though we re-engage people who did the job well, and most of our reps work several conferences a year with us.

On the stand you'd be:

- Greeting attendees, opening conversations and giving a short, clear account of what the product does.
- Running the live demo on a provided laptop — a model drawn, simulated, exported to C or VHDL, and verified against the solver. We train you on this and you'll have practised it before you fly.
- Qualifying visitors and capturing leads accurately into our system: who they are, what they build, what tools they use now, what they asked about.
- Handing genuinely deep technical questions to the engineer on the stand or logging them for follow-up. You are not expected to answer everything.
- Distributing materials, keeping the booth presentable and stocked, and helping with set-up and tear-down.
- A short written debrief after the event — what came up repeatedly, what landed, what didn't.

Compensation
- CAD $300 – $500 per travel day, paid for every day of the engagement — outbound travel, on-site days, and return travel alike. The rate within that band reflects your experience and the demands of the event. A typical engagement runs 5–7 paid days, so CAD $1,500 – $3,500 per conference.
- All trip expenses covered: return flights, accommodation,

ground transport, conference passes, and a CAD $125/day meal allowance. Flights, hotel and passes are booked and paid by us, so you're not out of pocket and not filing claims for the big items.
- Three paid-for days at the destination on top of the event, built into the booking: we cover accommodation for two days before the conference, the full duration of the conference, and one day after. The two days before and one day after are yours — no duties, no stand hours. Arrive early, get over the flight, and see the city.
- Payment issued within 14 days of your return.

To be plain about the structure: per-day fees apply to travel and event days. The three additional days are covered accommodation and are not paid days.

What we provide

Demo laptop and equipment, branded clothing, full product and demo training before departure, a printed briefing on the product and the likely questions, all booking and logistics handled for you, and a named contact reachable throughout the trip.

Requirements

- You must already be able to travel to both the United States and Europe. Our events are almost entirely in these two regions, so this is a hard requirement, not a preference:
- A passport with at least 6 months validity remaining beyond each trip, and blank pages for stamps.
- Eligibility to enter the US for business — visa-free under the Visa Waiver Program with an approved ESTA, or a valid B-1 visa.
- Eligibility to enter the Schengen Area for business — visa-free, or able to obtain a short-stay business visa reliably and on the usual timelines.
- We provide invitation letters, event documentation and proof of accommodation.

You are responsible for holding or obtaining the permissions themselves. If either region is realistically out of reach for you, this role won't work.
- Comfortable travelling internationally and being on your feet through a full conference day.
- Confident starting conversations with strangers, repeatedly, for several days running.
- Enough technical background to speak credibly to engineers about simulation, modelling or embedded software — an engineering degree, a technical sales history, or equivalent hands-on familiarity. You will be talking to control engineers and firmware developers all day.
- Fluent English is required. Experience with any additional language is a outstanding asset, particularly at European venues.
- Available for the full engagement window, travel days included.

Nice to have
- Prior trade-show or exhibition experience.
- Familiarity with Simulink, MATLAB, or model-based design workflows.
- A background in controls, robotics, automation or embedded systems.

How to apply Email [email protected] with:

- Your CV. Required — applications without one aren't considered.
- Your availability — which months or periods of the year you could travel, and any dates you're already committed elsewhere.
- Your passport's country of issue, and confirmation that you can enter both the US and the Schengen Area for business — state whether that's visa-free, on an existing visa, or by application.
- Optional — links to anything public that shows you in front of an audience. LinkedIn, a portfolio, ads or campaigns you've appeared in, event or conference footage, talks you've given, or a channel of your own where you present to camera. Your own channel counts as much as professional work. Most applicants won't have any of this — leaving it blank won't count against you, and we'll judge you on the CV and the call.

Shortlisted candidates will do a short video call. We'll send you the product material beforehand and ask you to run the booth pitch live on the call. Pay: $300.00-$500.00 per day

Work Location: In person
