We are seeking an experienced Freelance Construction Estimator to support our growing estimating department. Our company specializes in drywall, steel framing, insulation, and interior systems and bids on a variety of projects across the ICI (Industrial, Commercial & Institutional), commercial, and residential sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity takeoffs, material estimates, and tender pricing from architectural and structural drawings. We are looking for someone who can work independently, meet deadlines, and has a strong understanding of interior construction trades.

Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs from plans and specifications.
- Review drawings, addenda, and tender documents.
- Estimate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Assist with bid preparation and submission.
- Identify project scope, exclusions, and potential risks.
- Communicate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and bid documents.
- Deliver accurate estimates within specified deadlines.

Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of estimating experience in drywall, steel framing, insulation, and interior systems.
- Solid knowledge of ICI, commercial, and residential construction projects.
- Experience with construction drawings,



specifications, and tender documents.
- Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software such as Planswift, Bluebeam, or similar tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience
- Experience estimating ICI or commercial.
- Familiarity with drywall assemblies, metal stud framing systems, acoustic ceilings, insulation systems, and fire-rated assemblies.
- Ability to provide complete bid packages and cost breakdowns.

Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and may be negotiated on a per-project, hourly, or contract basis.
