Construction Labourer / Interior Construction Worker

APJ Construction is looking for motivated and reliable individuals to join our growing construction team.

We work on commercial, restaurant, retail, office, institutional, and renovation projects across Ontario. Candidates with residential or commercial construction experience are welcome to apply.

Previous experience in construction is preferred, but you do not need to be an expert in every trade. If you are familiar with construction work, comfortable using basic tools, willing to learn, and have a robust work ethic, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

- Assist with metal stud and wood framing.
- Assist with drywall installation, boarding, patching, and repairs.
- Assist with installation of doors, frames, hardware, and backing.
- Assist with T-bar and suspended ceiling installation.
- Flooring preparation and installation assistance.
- Assist with millwork installation and finishing.
- Demolition and general site preparation.
- Material handling, loading, unloading, and site organization.
- Use basic construction tools and equipment safely.
- Assist supervisors and experienced tradespeople with daily construction activities.
- Follow construction drawings and instructions provided by supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Identify and report site issues or deficiencies.
- Assist with project completion, deficiencies, and closeout work.
- Perform other construction-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements
- Previous experience working in construction, renovation, residential construction,



commercial construction, or general labour is preferred.
- Basic familiarity with construction tools and job-site practices.
- Experience with framing, drywall, painting, flooring, ceilings, carpentry, millwork, demolition, or other construction work is an asset.
- Residential construction experience is acceptable.
- Willingness to learn different areas of interior construction.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to perform physical construction work, including lifting and carrying materials.
- Reliable transportation is preferred.
- Valid driver's licence is an asset.
- Willingness to work overtime, evenings, weekends, or travel when required.
