CAMH is currently seeking a full time, permanent Contract Manager
CAMH sits on a 27-acre site which has been redeveloped in accordance with its Master Plan over a 25-year period. Three phases of redevelopment have been completed/ occupied, namely Phases 1A, 1B & 1C. The fourth and final phase (Phase 1D) of redevelopment is underway. See below a breakdown of the phases:
- Phase 1A: the first phase of redevelopment added 89,000 sqft, CAMH signed a contract with Eastern Construction under a stipulated sum contract which was occupied in 2008.
- Phase 1B: CAMH signed a contract with Carillion Health Solutions (CHS) to Design, Build, Finance and Maintain (DBFM) Phase 1B (540,000 sqft). Phase 1B was occupied in July 2012 and CHS’s maintenance contract is for 30 years starting 2012 and covers ‘hard’ FM Services.
- Phase 1C (758,000 sqft) was signed with Plenary Health (PH). Substantial Completion for Phase 1C was achieved in September 2020. The “hard” FM services portion of Phase 1C is now underway for the next 30 years.
- Phase 1D Research (385,000 sqft) is a Construction Management project currently under construction with occupancy anticipated for late 2027.
- Phase 1D Forensics (840,000 sqft) is a DBF projects currently under construction. Occupancy is anticipated in early 2029, with trailing activities to be completed in 2030.
Reporting to the Director Facilities, you will provide contract management leadership and strategic oversight, identifying opportunities to improve service quality, efficiency, effectiveness, compliance,
and value in support of CAMH’s core business of patient care. This will include accountability for the effective management of key contracts and service providers, ensuring contractual obligations, performance standards, service levels, financial commitments, and organizational requirements are consistently achieved. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners to manage the contract lifecycle, proactively address risks and performance issues, resolve contractual matters, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement and optimization of contracted services. The Contract Manager will support the Director of Facilities and work collaboratively with the in-house facilities team to advance and achieve the goals of the Facilities Management and Support Services Portfolio.
