Halibut House Fish & Chips in Brooklin/North Whitby is looking for a dependable and hardworking Cook to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in long-term employment with opportunities for growth.

Rate of Pay:

- Starting Wage: $18/hour + Tips
- After 3 Months: $19/hour + Tips
- After 1 Year: $20/hour + Tips
- Tips typically add an additional $5–$10 per hour

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen operations as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies when required
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient food production
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures
- Help ensure consistent food quality and presentation

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling practices
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation requirements




- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Experience:

- Breakfast cooking experience
- Fish & Chips cooking experience
