Part time Pizzaiolo / Pizza Cook Night Kitchen

Night Kitchen is looking for a passionate and reliable Part-Time Pizzaiolo / Pizza Cook to join our team.

We make handcrafted pizza using quality ingredients and high-temperature pizza ovens. We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in their food, and understands what it takes to produce consistently great pizza.

Position Details

- Part-time position
- Pay based on experience and skills
- Shared tips, including tips from our drivers and front-of-house team
- Must be available to work Fridays and Saturdays

What You'll Do
- Prepare and build pizzas with speed, consistency, and attention to detail
- Operate and manage a high-temperature pizza oven
- Monitor pizzas to achieve the proper bake, colour, char, and texture
- Manage multiple orders during busy service
- Prepare and organize pizza ingredients and toppings
- Assist with dough preparation, fermentation, and storage
- Follow Night Kitchen recipes and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
- Assist with kitchen prep, service, cleanup, and catering events when required

Experience Is Preferred Previous experience as a Pizzaiolo, Pizza Cook, Line Cook, or Kitchen Cook is preferred.

Experience with wood-fired, gas-fired, or high-temperature pizza ovens is a strong asset.

Pizzaiolo Skills

Experience with the following is a strong asset:

- Launching and turning pizzas
- Using pizza peels safely and efficiently
- Managing multiple pizzas in a high-temperature oven
- Understanding heat, flame, and oven temperature
- Achieving consistent crust development and proper bake
- Managing cooking times during busy service
- Understanding dough fermentation and proofing
