THE ROLE

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Personnel Support Programs, the Corporate Services Manager plans, coordinates, and manages the Corporate Services Program (Marketing, sponsorship, etc.) at the Base/Wing/Unit (B/W/U) level.

They manage the workflow of corporate services activities at the B/W/U level.

They develop budgets and business plans for the B/W/U corporate services activities and controls assets and authorizes financial transactions/commitments within an approved budget.





The Corporate Services Manager negotiates and manages agreements and accounts for the B/W/U corporate services activities and identifies and solicits sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications Needed

Education, Certifications and Licenses

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Advertising or a related field AND some years of experience in sales and marketing or a related field

OR

College Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or Advertising or a related field AND several years of experience in sales and marketing or a related field

AND A valid Ontario Driver’s License

Experience In corporate sponsorship and sales solicitation In market research In developing sponsorship packages and contracts In managing projects In negotiating and managing contracts In writing proposals for funding In promotion, event marketing, media and field marketing initiatives In budget administration In personnel administration

Knowledge Of principles and practices associated with sponsorship and resource development Of general business practices and theories Of practices and procedures associated with national advertising campaigns Of community newspaper practices Of marketing and sales strategies Of accounting and invoice administration Of budget management Of personnel management

Competencies

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Language Requirements





Bilingual (English and French) Essential

Reading: Advanced

Writing: Functional

Oral: Advanced
