Industrial Plastics & Paints is hiring a full or part-time Customer Service Representative (CSR). This person will work directly with customers in-store to serve their needs at our Courtenay, BC franchise.

The ideal candidate has great communication skills, experience working with the general public in a sales or retail customer-service role.

Our most successful employees enjoy problem solving and are makers themselves with personal experience using the type of products we stock and sell.

We are eager to help you learn and train on the specifics of our products, if you are able to think quickly on your feet and are flexible to a wide-range of retail job demands.

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

- Enjoy working with the public
- Genuinely care about providing our customers with technical assistance in selecting the best product solution.
- Have a qualified, direct and courteous style
- Take initiative and work well as part of a team
- Safely operate shop equipment while adhering to all company safety policies and procedures
- Be respectful, direct and make decisions in the best interest of the customer.
- Full or part-time availability

Capabilities:

- This position requires ability to lift up to 50-55 lbs, unassisted and safely climb ladders while following safe work practices.
- Ask detailed application questions to customers to provide technical guidance and advice about product solutions for their project need.
- Handle Cash and use POS to enter sales transactions.
- Read and follow blueprints and drawings.
- Create detailed hand-sketches with dimensions from customer's verbal instructions.

OUR LOCATIONS: We operate from the following locations in Western Canada.

Corporate Stores: Kelowna, Victoria, Richmond, Mission.

Franchises: Courtenay, Nanaimo, Calgary.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
