The Data Engineer helps build and maintain the analytics platform that supports the business as it grows , building pipelines, data models, and infrastructure that power reporting, analytics, and data products across the company, working under the guidance of senior data engineers and analytics leadership.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving data problems and wants to grow their skills building a SaaS company’s analytics foundation.

What You’ll Do

- Build and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines that ingest, transform, and deliver data from production systems, third-party APIs, and SaaS tools into the data warehouse.
- Contribute to data models and warehouse structures (e.g., in Snowflake or a similar cloud data warehouse) under the direction of senior engineers, with an eye toward scalability.
- Partner with analytics, product, and business teams to translate reporting and analytics requirements into data models, with senior support on complex or ambiguous requirements.
- Build and maintain data quality checks and testing to help ensure trusted, accurate data across the organization.
- Apply modern data engineering practices,



including version-controlled transformations (e.g., dbt), CI/CD for data pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code .
- Follow established data governance practices, including access controls, data lineage, and documentation standards .

Experience / Background

- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering , ideally at a SaaS or high-growth technology company.
- Solid experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift) and strong SQL skills for writing and troubleshooting complex queries.
- Experience building and maintaining ELT/ETL pipelines using tools such as dbt, Airflow, Boomi, Mulesoft, or similar .
- Good understanding of data modeling techniques (dimensional modeling, star schema, etc.) and designing for performance and usability.
- Proficiency in a programming language commonly used in data engineering ( Python, or similar ) for pipeline development and automation.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and exposure to infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or similar).
- Exposure to real-time or streaming data pipelines (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar) preferred.
- Familiarity with data catalog, lineage, and governance tooling (e.g., Atlan, Alation, dbt docs) preferred.

Education / Training / Certification

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Compensation ranges are based on the associate's primary work location. Because this role may be filled in more than one country, the applicable ranges are listed below by location:

For Canadian applicants: CAD 88,000 - 112,000 annually
