As a Workerbee , you help solve complex problems and bring real value to clients through hands-on expertise in database administration, performance tuning, and data availability.

What our customers need help with

- Administer production SQL Server and PostgreSQL estates, covering patching,



upgrades, and capacity planning
- Tune slow queries and indexing strategy, working from execution plans rather than guesswork
- Own backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures, and prove them through scheduled restore testing
- Configure high availability and replication to meet uptime and recovery objectives
- Harden database security through role design, encryption at rest and in transit, and access auditing

What stands out amongst top talent

- 5+ years administering relational databases in production environments
- Deep T-SQL and PL/pgSQL capability, including stored procedure and query optimization
- Experience with managed cloud database services on Azure, AWS RDS, or Google Cloud SQL
- Scripting ability in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for routine automation and monitoring
- Understanding of Canadian data residency and privacy expectations, including PIPEDA considerations
