Delivery/Warehouse Team Member

Hotchkiss Home Furnishings is looking for a full-time Delivery/Warehouse Team Member to join our Fredericton team.

A big part of this job is being out on the road delivering furniture to our customers. You'll work with an experienced member of our delivery team to safely load, deliver, assemble and set up furniture in customers' homes.

You'll also help out in our warehouse when needed - unloading trucks, receiving and barcoding new furniture, organizing inventory, preparing orders for delivery and helping customers with furniture pickups at our store.

What you'll be doing

- Delivering furniture to customers throughout Fredericton and surrounding areas
- Safely loading and unloading furniture
- Assembling and setting up furniture in customers' homes
- Providing friendly, professional service to our customers
- Preparing and organizing orders for upcoming deliveries
- Helping customers load furniture for pickups at our store
- Helping receive, barcode and put away incoming furniture
- Working alongside our warehouse, sales and delivery teams

What we're looking for

- A valid driver's licence and clean driving record
- Experience driving larger vehicles is an asset
- The ability to safely lift and move heavy furniture




- Someone who is dependable and comfortable working as part of a two-person delivery team
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Good problem-solving skills - sometimes getting a sofa through a doorway takes a little creativity!
- Someone who enjoys working with people and providing great customer service
- A clean criminal record
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends
