- Greet and check-in patients, and visitors at the front desk.
- Answer phone calls.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for the office
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information in electronic dental records systems (software used ABELdent).
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and faxes
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations of the office
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic dental records systems such as AbelDent
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of office equipment and phone systems
