Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, ensuring cleanliness and proper sterilization of instruments
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including orthodontics and pediatrics treatments
- Take digital dental radiographs when necessary
- Manage patient records using dental software
- Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients, ensuring they understand care procedures
- Maintain patient comfort and address any questions or concerns during visits
- Support front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow




- Maintain a thorough understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental care to accurately document procedures and patient information

Skills

- HARP certified.
- Experience with dental assisting techniques, including sterilization, radiography, and chairside support
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including children in pediatric dentistry settings
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and procedure support
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required
