Duties

- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote optimal oral health.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized.
- Maintain detailed patient records using dental practice management software such as Dentrix.
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient follow-ups, and ensure a smooth flow of daily operations.
- Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly environment that eases anxiety and encourages valuable dental habits.




- Stay current with industry best practices in orthodontics, pediatrics, and infection control standards to provide top-tier care.

Skills

- Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software for scheduling and record keeping.
- Knowledge of orthodontics procedures to assist with braces adjustments or related treatments.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
- Experience in dental assisting, including chairside support during various procedures.
- Familiarity with pediatric dentistry to engage young patients positively.
- Robust customer service skills to ensure a welcoming experience for all patients.
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry for accurate documentation and communication.
