Raise is currently hiring a Digital Workplace Administrator on behalf of our client. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional to support Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and cloud-based identity and access management services within a critical enterprise environment. Our client is responsible for the secure and reliable operation of the Alberta Interconnected Electric System.
Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.
Description The Digital Workplace Services (DWS) Administrator will support the administration, implementation, and ongoing operation of Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft 365 services.
The primary focus of this role is the design, configuration, testing, and support of Entra ID application identity and access solutions across enterprise application environments. The Administrator will collaborate with application designers, developers, security teams, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, develop application registration designs, complete configurations, and support testing and validation.
This intermediate-level position requires a strong technical foundation, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to create and maintain clear technical and operational documentation.
Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 Administration
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services to ensure reliability, security, and operational effectiveness.
- Support incidents, service requests, changes, and operational activities related to Digital Workplace technologies.
- Contribute to service improvements, documentation, monitoring, reporting, and platform optimization.
Entra ID Administration
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Entra ID, including identity, access, authentication, authorization, and directory services.
- Support the design and implementation of identity and access management solutions aligned with security requirements.
- Troubleshoot identity, access, and authentication issues across users, applications, and integrated services.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and standards.
- Support secure and effective identity lifecycle management.
Application Identity & Access Management
- Design, configure, and support Entra ID application registrations and enterprise applications.
- Gather technical requirements and translate them into identity and access solutions.
- Support implementation, testing, validation, and ongoing administration of authentication and authorization configurations.
- Develop application registration and operational support documentation.
- Identify opportunities to standardize, improve, and automate application onboarding and identity integration processes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in IT administration, technical support, or a related role.
- 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, or cloud-based identity and access management.
- Experience designing, configuring, implementing, and administering identity, access, and authentication solutions.
- Experience supporting application onboarding, integration, and access management.
- Experience gathering and documenting technical requirements and developing technical designs.
- Knowledge of application architecture, authentication patterns, APIs, and application integration.
- Experience with change management, configuration management, security, and operational support processes.
- Strong understanding of modern identity, authentication, and access management concepts.
- Preferred Skills
- Experience with PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, Visio, or similar administration and automation tools.
- Experience with scripting and automation.
- Experience with DevOps documentation practices, including wikis or Markdown.
- Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with application teams, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
- Education and Certifications
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
- Microsoft certification related to Entra ID, Identity & Access Management, or Microsoft 365 is preferred.
