This role plays a critical part in overseeing financial stewardship, operational infrastructure, and administrative leadership for a complex national organization serving tens of thousands of members across Canada. Working closely with elected leadership and senior stakeholders, you will guide financial planning, reporting, and organizational modernization while supporting a collaborative team environment.

In this role, you’ll oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements while ensuring strong internal controls and efficient financial processes.

You’ll supervise and mentor a finance team of eight professionals, providing hands-on leadership across accounts payable, payroll oversight, and financial administration. You’ll manage cash flow, investments,



and financial modelling to support organizational planning and long-term sustainability. You’ll collaborate with executive leadership and board committees, supporting audit processes and advising on financial and operational priorities.

You’ll oversee key administrative and HR-related functions, including payroll oversight for a large unionized workforce, benefits administration, and facilities management.
