Archives is on the verge of a bold rebranding, anticipating a 2027 reopening. Seeking a Director to shape this pivotal chapter, the ideal candidate will oversee acquisitions, digital initiatives, and promote rich Jewish narratives. The focus will be on connecting diverse audiences to Canada's largest repository of Jewish history. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise archival staff and volunteers for effective operations
- Direct appraisal, acquisition, and preservation of archival holdings
- Cultivate partnerships with academic and community organizations
- Enhance digital preservation and access systems
- Develop cutting-edge outreach programming to boost engagement Requirements:
- 7-10 years of archival experience with 3-5 years in supervision
- Strong knowledge of archival description practices
- Proven success in grant writing and partnership development
- Understanding of Canadian Jewish history and culture
- Master’s degree in Archival Studies or equivalent experience Shape the future of Jewish heritage by leading Ontario Jewish Archives in an impactful direction.
