OVERVIEW

We are looking for a reliable, organized, and experienced Truck Dispatcher to join our transportation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating daily truck movements, communicating with drivers and customers, planning efficient routes, and ensuring freight moves safely and on time.

This position requires a strong understanding of Montreal-area transportation and U.S. Midwest routes, including cross-border freight operations. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, making quick decisions, and managing multiple loads and drivers throughout the day.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Dispatch and coordinate drivers and daily loads.
- Plan efficient routes and manage pickup/delivery schedules.
- Coordinate freight to and from Montreal and the U.S. Midwest.
- Solid knowledge of Montreal and Midwest routes, highways, border crossings, terminals, and major freight markets.
- Monitor shipments, drivers, delays, traffic, and delivery times.
- Communicate with drivers,



customers, brokers, and terminals.
- Handle dispatch issues and make quick operational decisions.
- Ensure drivers have proper load and delivery information.
- Follow company policies and transportation regulations.

EXPERIENCE

- Dispatch, trucking, or transportation experience is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Montreal and U.S. Midwest routes.
- Knowledge of load planning and routing
- Familiarity with ELD/GPS systems (e.g., Samsara) & understanding of HOS rules and basic compliance
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented.
- Full-time, in-person position.
