Job Overview
Are you passionate about dogs and eager to create a fun, safe, and engaging environment for our furry friends? As a Dog Daycare Pack Leader/Hiker, you will lead energetic groups of dogs through stimulating activities and outdoor adventures, ensuring their happiness, safety, and well-being. This role offers an exciting chance to combine your love for animals with active outdoor work, making a positive impact on both dogs and their owners.
You will be responsible for managing daily dog groups, leading hikes, and providing exceptional customer service to pet owners.
Responsibilities
· Manage and train dogs in a pack setting and apply appropriate training techniques as required.
· Lead pack hikes in an off-leash setting while maintaining control of pack energy and applying corrections where necessary.
· Supervise and direct pack organization based on each individual dog’s size, energy level, behaviour, etc.
· Assist with the onboarding process for new clients and provide updates on their pets’ activities and well-being.
· Supervise and adhere to daily routines, tasks, and activities; including organization, prioritization, and delegation.
· Monitor and maintain a clean and sanitary environment (indoor and outdoor) by regularly cleaning and disinfecting play areas and equipment.
· Ensure photos are taken (edited where appropriate) and shared daily.
· Provide basic grooming services such as brushing, rinsing and bathing.
· Administer medications or treatments to dogs as directed by their owners or veterinarians.
· Provide excellent customer service.
Skills
· Previous experience in a related field (Training, Daycare, Grooming, etc.) is preferred.
· Knowledge of dog behaviour, breeds, and care practices.
· Ability to handle dogs in groups of all sizes and temperaments.
· A commitment to continuous personal development and staying updated on best practices in training.
· Excellent observational skills to monitor dog behavior and respond promptly to any concerns.
· Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively interact and build rapport with clients and team members.
· Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
· Own reliable transportation is required.

Pay: $17.60-$19.50 per hour
