Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Dump Truck Driver to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy-duty dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, and debris across construction sites and industrial locations. Your expertise will ensure timely deliveries, adherence to safety standards, and smooth operations on every job site.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team committed to excellence and safety in the transportation of bulk materials.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials to designated locations, following all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, brakes, tires, and other essential components to ensure optimal performance.
- Load and unload materials accurately using appropriate techniques, ensuring the secure handling of cargo.
- Maintain detailed logs of trips, loads delivered, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any logistical issues promptly.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or report maintenance needs to keep trucks in top condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies to promote a safe working workplace for yourself and others.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as dump trucks, with knowledge of freight handling procedures.
- Ability to perform heavy equipment operation tasks confidently and safely.
- Basic automotive repair skills for routine maintenance checks and minor repairs.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus for loading or unloading materials efficiently.
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to commercial driving and heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
