Tutor Doctor is currently seeking two reliable, enthusiastic tutors to join an established community-based tutoring program in Rama, Ontario.
This is a great chance for someone who enjoys working with elementary-aged students and is looking for consistent, meaningful part-time work. Tutors will work with students each Thursday evening at a designated community location in Rama, providing personalized academic support in a positive and encouraging environment.
The program begins October 1, 2026, with sessions taking place every Thursday from 5:00–7:30 PM.
We currently have two positions available:
Small Group Tutor
Work with a small group of elementary students, helping them strengthen their skills and understanding across core academic subjects.
One-on-One Tutor
Provide individualized support to elementary students based on their specific academic needs, learning style and goals.
Tutors may support students with:
- Elementary Math
- Science
- English and literacy
- Reading and writing
- Homework and school assignments
- Foundational academic skills
- Study skills and organization
At Tutor Doctor, tutoring is about more than completing homework. Our goal is to help students better understand what they are learning, strengthen foundational skills, develop positive learning habits and build confidence in their abilities.
About the Role
Tutors are responsible for creating engaging, student-focused sessions based on the needs of the students they are supporting.
You do not need to be a certified teacher to apply. We welcome candidates from a variety of educational and professional backgrounds who have strong academic skills and enjoy working with children.
Our team provides ongoing support, and tutors are matched with students and opportunities based on their qualifications, experience and strengths.
Schedule & Commitment
Thursdays from 5:00–7:30 PM
Starting October 1, 2026
Because students benefit from consistency,
we are looking for tutors who can make a reliable weekly commitment to the program.
This position takes place in person at a designated community location in Rama, Ontario.

Requirements
Successful candidates should
- Be comfortable supporting elementary students in Math, Science and English
- Have strong communication and organizational skills
- Be patient, encouraging and able to connect with children
- Be dependable and able to commit consistently to Thursday evenings
- Be comfortable working independently with students as well as within a community-based program
- Have regular access to a reliable personal vehicle to travel to the tutoring location in Rama, ON
- Hold a valid driver's licence
- Be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Be willing to complete a criminal background / vulnerable sector check at their own expense
Postsecondary students, education students, teachers, retired educators and individuals with previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching or experience working with children are encouraged to apply. Pay: $30.00 per hour
