Overview

Green PI Inc. is seeking to provide an Engine Systems Engineer for its client. The role will support automotive engine and hybrid control system development, including propulsion system controls, calibration, engine systems development, and FE/emissions testing. The position requires a systems-focused engineer with experience in engine/powertrain controls or calibration, hands-on ECU/OBD knowledge, and the ability to coordinate technical project deliverables within a fast-paced, cross-functional engineering environment.

Contract Term: This is a long-term contract position.

Work Location: 100% in office at Windsor, ON. No travel to the USA is required. The candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

- Provide strategic and technical leadership in the development of engine and hybrid control system strategies.
- Support propulsion system control development and/or calibration activities for automotive engine and hybrid systems.
- Perform or support engine systems development, calibration, and FE/emissions testing activities.
- Apply knowledge of internal combustion engine physics, engine regulatory requirements, and engine OBD during controls and calibration development.
- Support the development and refinement of control algorithms and calibration methods.
- Work hands-on with ECU and OBD systems in support of engine/powertrain controls, calibration, and diagnostic activities.
- Use relevant development and calibration tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, INCA, and CANape, as applicable to assigned work.
- Support engine testing and hybrid propulsion development activities where applicable.
- Coordinate technical activities across interdisciplinary and cross-functional engineering teams.
- Own individual technical project deliverables, coordinate assigned activities, and drive projects to successful conclusions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications The potential candidate must possess the following:

- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls,



Systems Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Applied Physics, or another relevant STEM-oriented degree from an ABET-accredited university.
- 1-5 years of total experience in engine system controls and/or calibration development.
- Demonstrated technical leadership on propulsion system control and calibration development projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge of internal combustion engine physics, engine regulatory requirements, and engine OBD, with hands-on ECU/OBD knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability in control algorithm development methods.
- Exposure to MATLAB/Simulink, INCA, CANape, engine testing, or hybrid propulsion systems is preferred.
- Effective experience-based or analytical problem-solving ability.
- Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills, with demonstrated potential to teach, lead, and inspire.

Work Remotely: No

Working Schedule: Monday to Friday

Pay: $38/hr CAD with 2 weeks PTO and 10 paid holidays

Pay: $38.00 per hour
