Our employer partner, a non-profit organization supporting communities across British Columbia, is currently looking to add an experienced Events and Donor Relations Coordinator to their team!
Job Overview:
The Events and Donor Relations Coordinator will organize donor engagement, stewardship, recognition initiatives, and special events. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams, donors, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and community partners to deliver exceptional events and strengthen relationships with supporters.
This is a temporary full-time position scheduled to end in January 2028. The role is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week in the Burnaby office. Candidates must live within commuting distance of Burnaby, British Columbia. The position pays $41.09 per hour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute donor cultivation, stewardship, and recognition events.
- Coordinate event logistics, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and internal team members.
- Provide timely pre-event and post-event communication and follow-up.
- Develop and maintain annual event calendars, timelines, and planning materials.
- Support donor acknowledgement, recognition, communication, and stewardship activities.
- Maintain accurate donor and event records and track engagement opportunities.
- Assist with newsletters, stewardship packages, and donor recognition initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Two-year diploma in marketing, communications, advertising, public relations, or a related field.
- Minimum three years of experience in fundraising,
donor stewardship, or event planning.
- Project management certification is considered an asset.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and contact-management databases.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events.
