Role Description The Executive Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Minett, ON. This role is responsible for overseeing all culinary operations, including menu planning, food preparation, kitchen workflows, and presentation standards for the resort’s dining outlets and events.
The Executive
Chef leads and mentors the kitchen team, manages scheduling, and ensures adherence to food safety and sanitation regulations. Day-to-day activities include sourcing ingredients, controlling food and labor costs, coordinating with front-of-house leadership, and maintaining high levels of quality and consistency.

Chef also collaborates with resort management to develop seasonal menus,
special event offerings, and guest experiences aligned with the property’s luxury positioning.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef or senior culinary leader in upscale or luxury hospitality environments.
- Strong skills in menu development, food preparation techniques, and culinary creativity, with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and compliance with local health regulations.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate diverse kitchen teams; effective at scheduling, delegation, and performance management.
- Experience with inventory management, cost control, and budget oversight for kitchen operations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple outlets, events, and seasonal demands.
- Solid communication and collaboration skills to work closely with front-of-house staff and resort leadership.
- Culinary degree, recognized chef certification, or equivalent professional training preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by resort operations.
