Applications are invited for two (2) positions of Facilities Clerk in the Facilities Management Services Division, located at the Welland Campus. The starting hourly rate is $28.38/hr (Pay Band D - $28.38/hr to $32.70/hr) for a 40-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
These positions are Appendix D, temporary positions as per Article 17.3.1 of the Support Staff Collective Agreement and are set to commence in September 2026 and will conclude in November 2026. It may be subject to an extension by mutual agreement of the parties.
Reporting to the Associate Director, Planning and Capitol Projects, the successful candidate provides direction and information to customers as first point of contact for the department. This position will coordinate office moves, support key and access card management system, maintains various inventories, and file and perform routine purchasing and accounting tasks.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Liaise with vendors on inventory control, procurement, furniture moves, and staff relocations, including the arrangement of third-party moving services
- Read drawings, take measurements,
and confirm AODA accessibility requirements for office setups
- Administer building and furniture keys
- Support Parking Services as needed
- Schedule meetings and record meeting minutes
Qualifications:
- Two (2) year diploma in any field of study
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in office administration or a similar role
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform the physical movement of desks, chairs, tables, packages, equipment, and supplies as required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems effectively, and coordinate tasks in a quick-paced environment
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software applications
- Knowledge of inventory control practices
