Novare is seeking a trustworthy and dependable individual to support its President in the day-to-day management of her family residence.

We are looking for a reliable, organized and proactive person who will help simplify the daily life of an active family by taking responsibility for household organization, home maintenance and meal preparation.

This role goes well beyond housekeeping. The successful candidate will play a meaningful role in improving the family's quality of life by helping ensure that family time can be spent together rather than managing household tasks.

RESPONSABILITIES

Household Maintenance and Organization

- Complete household cleaning and upkeep;
- Dusting, vacuuming and floor care;
- Kitchen and bathroom maintenance;
- Making beds and changing linens;
- Laundry, ironing and garment care;
- Organizing and maintaining closets;
- Managing seasonal clothing rotations;
- Monitoring household inventories, including clothing, linens and towels;
- Organizing storage spaces throughout the home;
- Basic sewing, alterations and minor textile repairs.

Meal Preparation Meal preparation is an important part of this role.

The successful candidate must enjoy cooking and be able to prepare wide-ranging, nutritious and appealing family meals independently.

Responsibilities include

- Preparing meals for the family;
- Occasionally preparing desserts;




- Following recipes accurately or demonstrating resourcefulness when meals have not been planned in advance;
- Making effective use of available ingredients and minimizing food waste;
- Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen;
- Identifying grocery and household supply needs when necessary.

Occasional Family Support

- Occasional transportation of children in case of unforeseen circumstances;
- Contributing to a well-organized, comfortable and welcoming family environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

- Reliable attendance, detail oriented and dependability;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Professionalism and discretion;
- Independence, initiative and resourcefulness;
- Valid driver's licence;
- Ability to prepare family meals independently;
- Comfortable asking questions and communicating openly when clarification is needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

- Fully declared employment only;
- Stable schedule totaling 35 paid hours per week;
- The schedule will be designed to allow for dinner preparation and household organization at the end of the day;
- The typical end time is 7:00 p.m., with the possibility of extending to 8:00 p.m. if preferred by the successful candidate;
- Start time will be adjusted accordingly;
- Unpaid meal break of 30 minutes, with the option of taking up to one hour;
- Two (2) weeks of paid vacation;
- Paid day off on your birthday;
- Criminal background check and credit check required prior to employment;
- Compensation based on experience, skills and level of autonomy;
- Future enhancements to employment conditions may include eligibility for a group benefits plan if such a program is implemented by the employer;

A NOTE ON LANGUAGE French is the primary language spoken within the household. However, family members are also comfortable in English, and we welcome applications from candidates who are able to communicate effectively in either language.

Pay: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
