Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Farm Supervisor to assist with daily operations on our agricultural site reporting to the Farm Operations manager. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of farm activities, maintaining high standards of orchard maintenance and picking, and overseeing the safety and productivity of the farm environment. As a Farm Supervisor, you be a working supervisor, guide a team of farm workers, coordinate orchard work and maintenance tasks

Duties

- Supervise daily farm activities including planting, harvesting, irrigation, to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee operation and maintenance and repair of farm machinery, equipment, and run forklift, tractors and implements.
- Conduct regular inspections of fields, equipment, and facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Train and mentor farm workers on proper use of hand tools, orchard practices, picking quality, and safety procedures.




- Implement health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- .Qualifications
- Proven experience in farm management or supervision with solid mechanical knowledge.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and crop cultivation techniques.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as tractors or and forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and performing routine maintenance tasks.
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and contractors effectively.
