Job Summary

Befikre is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Food Clerk to support daily food service operations. The ideal candidate will assist customers, prepare and organize food items, maintain product displays, and help keep the service area clean and well stocked. This position is a good fit for someone who works well with others and enjoys providing helpful, efficient service.

Key Responsibilities

- Welcome customers and provide friendly service
- Assist guests with food selections and general product questions
- Prepare, portion, package, and label food items according to established procedures
- Keep food displays and service areas neat and well organized
- Monitor product availability and restock items as needed
- Handle customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Process payments and operate the POS system when required
- Package takeaway orders and ensure they are properly prepared
- Maintain clean counters, equipment, storage areas, and workstations
- Follow proper food-handling, hygiene, and sanitation procedures
- Check food items for freshness, quality, and proper presentation
- Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food supplies
- Support coworkers during busy service periods
- Complete opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking duties as assigned
- Follow workplace safety and company service standards

Qualifications
- Previous food service, retail, grocery,



cashier, or customer-service experience is an asset
- Friendly and professional approach to customer service
- Valuable communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail
- Able to work efficiently in a busy environment
- Comfortable standing and working for extended periods
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Willingness to learn food-service procedures and new tasks

Pay: $17.60-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36.0 per week
