Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Food Counter Attendant to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, handling transactions, and maintaining a clean and sanitized work setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food preparation, cashiering, and customer service.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage customer transactions efficiently while providing friendly service
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the counter area, kitchen equipment, and utensils in compliance with food safety standards
- Ensure proper food handling practices are followed at all times
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed




- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service delivery

Requirements

- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations for transactions
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Basic kitchen experience or familiarity with food preparation techniques is advantageous
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
