LA Grain processes peas and lentils. Core responsibilities include:
- Assist the equipment operators with operation of pea and lentil processing equipment (grain cleaners)
- Unload & receive grain products from incoming trucks.
- Perform cleaning/custodial work throughout all workspaces.
- Assist with loading of outgoing product. We primarily load 25 or 50kg bags into ocean containers, using a hydrolic belt conveyor (typically loading 4-6 trucks per day). Also periodically ship product out in bulk by truck & rail hopper cars. Attendants operate a bagger, sewing maching and the belt conveyor.
- Work safely at all times, and adhere to the L.A. Grain Protected Work Practices
