Summit Electric is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to join our team, for upcoming projects

About the Role The Foreman will lead a crew of electricians on industrial sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to code. This role requires hands-on industrial facility experience and the ability to supervise, coordinate, and mentor a team while maintaining strong communication with project management and clients.

Required Qualifications

- Electrical Red Seal Certification (Journeyman)
- Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience, including time working within an industrial facility (mining, forestry, oil & gas, or similar heavy industrial setting)
- Previous experience in a Foreman, Lead Hand, or supervisory role
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence

Pre-Employment Requirements Successful candidates must be able to pass:

- Drug and alcohol screening

Experience & Training

- Proven industrial electrical experience, including exposure to plant shutdowns, maintenance, or recent construction within an operating industrial facility
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
- Fall Arrest certification




- Elevated Work Platform certification
- Familiarity with job hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and site safety documentation

Leadership Responsibilities

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the electrical crew
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Act as the primary point of contact on-site for project managers and clients
- Train, mentor, and support apprentices and journeymen
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Troubleshoot issues on-site and make informed decisions to keep projects on track

The Ideal Candidate Will:

- Have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a crew effectively
- Have previous construction or industrial experience in a supervisory capacity (required)
- Be capable of lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs
- Be physically fit and able to perform demanding work for extended periods while maintaining safe work practices
- Be comfortable standing for prolonged periods on stairs, elevated platforms, and uneven terrain
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and sound judgment under pressure
- Be willing to work in a variety of weather conditions and challenging environments
- Be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team, while confidently directing others
