AMG Contracting is a residential / commercial / industrial] concrete contractor looking for two experienced formwork carpenters who are ready to step up and lead a crew. These are hands-on leadership roles: you'll be building forms alongside your team while keeping the work on schedule, on layout, and secure.

What You'll Be Doing
- Lay out, build, set, brace, strip, and clean formwork for footings, walls, columns, slabs, and stairs
- Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings, shop drawings, and forming plans
- Lead a crew of [3–5] workers: assign daily tasks, set the pace, and check quality
- Verify layout, elevations, dimensions, and plumb before every pour
- Coordinate with the site superintendent, rebar crews, and concrete finishers
- Make sure forms are properly braced and rated for the pour
- Enforce safety standards on site and run daily toolbox talks / hazard assessments
- Track material and equipment needs and flag shortages before they stop the work
What You Bring
- 5+ years of hands-on formwork experience in concrete construction
- Proven ability to read blueprints and structural drawings accurately
- Leadership experience — lead hand, foreman, or crew lead
- Experience with forming systems such as [Peri / Doka / EFCO / Aluma / Symons / job-built plywood forms]
- Strong knowledge of layout tools: laser level, transit, total station, tape and string line
- Ability to communicate clearly with a crew and with site management
- Valid [Fall Protection, WHMIS, CSTS-2020, Standard First Aid] tickets — or willingness to obtain
- Own steel-toed boots and basic hand tools
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Able to lift up to [50 lbs] and work outdoors year-round
Nice to have: Journeyman Carpenter certification, Confined Space, Aerial Work Platform, forklift/telehandler ticket, [Class 5] driver's licence, ICF experience,
