- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to determine project specifications
- Construct building frameworks, including walls, floors, and roofs, using carpentry tools and equipment
- Ensure accuracy and quality of work by conducting inspections and making necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Experience:
- Proven experience as a carpenter or similar role in the construction industry
- Proficiency in blueprint reading
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or cranes for heavy lifting or moving materials
- Familiarity with power tools and their secure operation
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in measuring and cutting materials
- Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues that may arise during construction projects
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or kneeling
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients
