Courtyard by Marriott Brampton is seeking an experienced and service-oriented Front Office Manager to lead our Front Office department. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in ensuring smooth daily operations, maintaining Marriott brand standards, developing and supporting Front Office associates, and delivering memorable guest experiences.

As Front Office Manager, you will be a visible and accountable department leader who sets the standard for professionalism, service, communication, and teamwork. You will work closely with hotel leadership and other departments to ensure operational priorities are achieved and guests receive consistent, efficient, and welcoming service throughout their stay.

What You'll Do

- Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Front Office department, including Front Desk and Night Audit operations.
- Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest service and professionally manage guest concerns, complaints, escalations, and service recovery.
- Recruit, train, coach, develop, and support Front Office associates while providing ongoing feedback, performance guidance, and accountability.
- Prepare and manage Front Office schedules and staffing levels based on occupancy, business levels, operational needs, and labour requirements.
- Monitor attendance, timekeeping, shift coverage, and departmental scheduling to ensure appropriate staffing and operational continuity.
- Monitor arrivals, departures, room assignments, VIP guests, group blocks, special requests, and other daily operational priorities.
- Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales, Food & Beverage, and hotel leadership to provide a seamless guest experience.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, payment processing, guest account management, shift balancing, and adherence to financial controls.
- Review Front Office operational reports, discrepancies, outstanding issues, and shift handovers to ensure appropriate follow-up and resolution.
- Ensure Marriott brand standards, hotel policies, Front Office procedures, and service expectations are consistently followed.




- Drive Marriott Bonvoy enrollment and recognition while ensuring associates understand and communicate loyalty benefits effectively.
- Monitor guest feedback, satisfaction scores, service trends, and operational concerns and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Support employee performance management, attendance management, coaching, documentation, and workplace concerns in accordance with hotel policies.
- Maintain effective departmental communication through shift briefings, logs, meetings, and management follow-up.
- Identify opportunities to improve Front Office efficiency, service delivery, associate performance, and the overall guest experience.
- Act as Manager on Duty when assigned and provide hands-on operational support during high-volume periods, emergencies, or staffing shortages.
- Complete additional Front Office and hotel leadership responsibilities as required to support the overall operation.

What We're Looking For

- Previous supervisory or management experience within a hotel Front Office environment.
- Minimum 2 years of hotel Front Desk experience preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Previous Marriott experience is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with FOSSE, Marriott systems and applications, or comparable hotel property management systems is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team-development skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and hold employees accountable.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and guest-relations skills.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Professional appearance and a positive, approachable leadership style.




- Strong understanding of hotel operations, guest service, and hospitality standards.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound operational decisions independently.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems and applications quickly.
- Experience with cash handling, reconciliation, and Front Office financial controls is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Marriott Bonvoy, Marriott brand standards, and guest satisfaction programs is considered an asset.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight coverage based on business needs.
