Full Stack Developer

Base Salary: $125k - $140k

Auxo is hiring a Full Stack Developer for a fast-growing Canadian startup building modern software for the manufacturing procurement industry.

You'll join a small, senior founding engineering team and take on full stack features end to end, from database through UI, in Django and React . The team has already solved the "how do we build" problem: up-to-date tooling, AI-assisted workflows, and a fast pace are the baseline. What's missing is someone who takes that baseline and pushes past it, someone who sees a ticket, finishes it, and then goes looking for the next problem without being told.

This is not a role where you wait for detailed specs or sign-off chains. It's a role for someone who's comfortable making a call and moving, who can own architecture decisions as the platform scales, and who treats clean, tested, maintainable code as the default. Real depth in Django and React specifically (not adjacent frameworks, not Python alone) is non-negotiable. AI-assisted dev tooling is already part of the day-to-day, so comfort working alongside it will help you ramp fast.

You'll have direct access to founder-level technical leadership, not layers of management, and real ownership from day one. This is a real, under-digitized industry with genuine room to make visible impact, and initiative here gets rewarded, not filtered out.





What You'll Do

- Build and own full stack features end to end, from database through UI, in Django and React
- Ship independently: take a ticket and go further than what was asked
- Participate actively in code review and help raise the bar on code quality
- Diagnose and resolve bugs, performance issues, and production incidents
- Contribute to architecture and system design decisions as the platform scales
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code as the default, not the exception
- Mentor junior developers informally as the team grows

Who You Are

- 5+ years of professional full stack experience , with real depth in Django specifically, not just general Python
- Equally strong hands-on depth in React (Vue or Angular experience alone won't transfer)
- Startup experience strongly preferred: you've built in environments without much structure and you're comfortable with ambiguity
- A demonstrated history of doing more than your assigned scope, you go looking for the next problem instead of waiting for the next ticket
- Good judgment on what to prioritize, with a calm, practical communication style
- Comfortable with a still-forming process and a fast-moving, evolving environment
- B2B SaaS exposure, ideally touching enterprise clients
- Experience working alongside AI-assisted dev tooling (Copilot, Cursor, or similar)
