Stronghold Brewing Co. – Fort Macleod, Alberta

Stronghold Brewing Co. is looking for an experienced, motivated full-time bartender to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy taproom environment, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is interested in growing into a leadership/management role as they gain experience with our business.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, organized, and ready to take on increasing responsibility. The right person will have the opportunity to develop their skills and potentially move into a Taproom Manager position as they demonstrate the experience, leadership, and knowledge required for the role.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous bartending experience is required
- Valid ProServe certification required
- Solid customer service skills and a friendly, welcoming personality
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong cash-handling, money-counting, and basic math skills
- Ability to accurately process transactions and handle cash responsibly
- Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to remain calm and professional when handling difficult customers or challenging situations
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multitask while maintaining service quality and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn all aspects of taproom operations




- Interest in taking on additional responsibility and developing leadership skills
- Ability to provide direction and support to coworkers when needed
- A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a strong team environment

Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive service to all guests
- Prepare and serve beer and other beverages responsibly and accurately
- Operate the POS system and process cash, debit, and credit transactions
- Accurately count and reconcile cash
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming taproom
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Monitor tables and provide attentive table service
- Maintain proper beer and product presentation
- Follow all AGLC, ProServe, and company policies and procedures
- Handle customer concerns and situations professionally
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and management
- Assist with stocking, cleaning, and general taproom duties
- Help maintain consistency in service standards and daily operations
- Support events and special programming at the brewery
- Work as part of a team to ensure the taproom operates smoothly

Advancement:: Opportunity to progress into a Taproom Manager role wage is $15/hr plus tips and opportunity to increase as there is movement into management should that arise.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
