Salary : $20 to $28 per hour D.As an Optical/Optometric Assistant at CLEAR eye doctors, you are the backbone of our clinical operations, bridging the gap between advanced technology and compassionate patient care. We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our high-tech clinic where you will utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to make a tangible difference in patients' lives. Master all aspects of clinic operations through our comprehensive, cross-training program.
Gain hands-on experience with state-of-the-art testing, including OCT, visual fields, and digital imaging. Develop deep expertise in precision optical dispensing and high-end frame styling. Work with peace of mind in a meticulously maintained, safe, and hygienic clinic environment.
Goals & Objectives of the Position: Perform critical patient triage for ocular emergencies and inquiries Administer advanced diagnostic testing, including OCT, retinal imaging, and visual fields Assist with contact lens fittings and dry eye treatments Assist with the optical, including custom frame styling and precision lens measurements Educate patients on proper contact lens and eyewear care and maintenance Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records and referrals Handle billing and insurance claims Order contact lenses, glasses and supplies Essential Abilities & Motivators: Outgoing and compassionate individual dedicated to supporting our doctor to deliver exceptional patient care Excellent interpersonal and solid communication skills Ability to interact and work well with patients of all ages Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle confidential information with discretion Ability to problem solve and prioritize based on urgency High proficiency with EMR (electronic medical records) systems and digital clinical workflows is essential Strong clinical judgment with the ability to triage patient needs effectively Proven de-escalation and service recovery skills to ensure patient satisfaction Front desk or customer service experience in a medical office or optical setting is desirable Knowledge of basic medical terminology and eye anatomy is beneficial Benefits: Extended health insurance options Holidays Opportunities for professional development and continuing education Competitive pay based on experience Schedule Monday to Friday, part time hours Education: College or University education (preferred) Experience: Prefer 5 years experience in an an optometry clinic and/or optical Open to train the right motivated potential new team member especially with experience in hospitality or retail Providing the highest standard of eye care with personalized service and quality products in a friendly and caring atmosphere.
