Role Description The Pharmacist is a part-time, on-site role based at the Shoppers Drug Mart store in St Thomas, ON. The individual in this role will provide prescription dispensing services, perform medication reviews, and offer counseling to customers on secure and effective medication use. Day-to-day responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, checking for drug interactions, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.

The Pharmacist will collaborate with pharmacy assistants and other team members to manage workflow,



support inventory control, and promote health and wellness services. The role also involves delivering excellent customer service, answering health-related questions, and participating in store programs that support community health.

Qualifications

- Valid license to practice as a Pharmacist in Ontario and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, prescription processing, and medication safety, including drug interactions and contraindications.
- Ability to provide clear, empathetic patient counseling and health education in a community pharmacy setting.
- Experience with pharmacy management systems, prescription documentation, and adherence to regulatory and professional standards.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively within a diverse team.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Previous community pharmacy experience is an asset; familiarity with Shoppers Drug Mart programs and services is beneficial.
