The Buttertart Shack in Calgary is looking for a full time production baker to help prepare our tarts as we are growing. Pay and hours will be negotiated upon evaluation of skill level. Looking for someone to start immediately.Must have baking experience with rolling and preparing pastry

Responsibilities

- Prepare and bake a variety of gourmet buttertarts from scratch, in a timely manner working efficiently and effectively.
- Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, assembling, and packaging products
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety standards




- Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to health regulations and safety protocols
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients and supplies.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in baking/culinary is REQUIRED.
- Restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus, especially within the food industry
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling techniques
- Strong attention to detail to provide top quality and presentation for our customers.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Basic food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to employment is desirable
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if necessary
