THE ROLE
Under the direction of the PSP Manager, the General Manager/Superintendent plans, coordinates, manages and evaluates ALL golf course operations, including all turf maintenance programs, golf professional contracts, diverse recreation operations, facilities, and food and beverage services; develops and implements local marketing and promotional programs; performs customer satisfaction survey; consults with the various club committees to prepare events schedule; and conducts reviews of the operations and prepares and recommends business strategies to enhance the viability and profitability.
Qualifications Needed
Education, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor’s degree in Golf Course Maintenance, Agronomy, Horticulture Sciences, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field AND some years of experience in golf course management or in a related field
OR
College diploma or certificate in Golf Course Maintenance, Agronomy, Horticulture, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related field AND several years of experience in golf course management or related field
AND
Valid Provincial Ministry of the Environment Pesticide License (successful completion by end of probation)
A valid driver’s licence (Manitoba), an asset
Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification, as required
Experience
CPR and basic First Aid qualifications, an asset In golf course maintenance In the construction and development of golf course landscapes In operating tools and equipment required for golf course maintenance In the maintenance of roadways, buildings, parking lots, and other related golf club facilities In business management related to golf, hospitality, and/or recreation facilities In developing and implementing local marketing strategies, including social media In applying policies, procedures, and regulations In personnel administration In budget administration In coordinating food and beverage services In asset management including contracting and procurement In using software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, e-mail, and Internet browsing

Other Information
As part of the selection process, the successful candidate must successfully complete a Reliability status security screening.
This is an on-site position. Remote work may be required depending on health and safety considerations.
The successful candidate may be eligible for relocation benefits.
START DATE
November 2, 2026, this date is flexible.
