Rez Glass Industries is a family-run architectural glass manufacturer serving contractors, builders, and glaziers across the GTA. We manufacture our aluminum and glass in house — tempering, laminating, IGUs, CNC cutting, and commercial aluminum systems all under one 20,000 sq ft roof.

We're hiring a Glazing Estimator to prepare takeoffs, build estimates, and cost out projects. Because fabrication happens on site, you'll be working directly with the people who cut, temper, and assemble the product — not guessing at numbers from a catalogue.

What You'll Do

- Prepare accurate material takeoffs from architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications
- Build detailed estimates and quotations for glass and aluminum glazing packages
- Calculate material, labour, hardware, fabrication, and delivery costs
- Review plans and specs to identify scope, glass types, thicknesses, and system requirements
- Source and confirm pricing with suppliers on materials not produced in house
- Work with the shop and project team to confirm fabrication feasibility and lead times
- Track bid opportunities, submit quotes on schedule, and follow up with contractors
- Maintain and update pricing databases and historical cost records
- Support projects through to release with revisions, change orders, and cost breakdowns

What You Need
- Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in glazing, architectural glass, curtain wall, storefront, or a closely related construction trade




- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, elevations, and specifications
- Solid working knowledge of glass and aluminum products — tempered, laminated, IGUs, railings, storefront and commercial aluminum systems
- Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software, and solid Excel skills
- Strong math skills and a high level of accuracy with numbers
- Excellent organization and the ability to manage multiple bids against deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication for dealing with contractors and suppliers
- Legally entitled to work in Canada

Considered an asset:

- Experience estimating for a fabricator or manufacturer rather than an installer
- Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code as it applies to glazing
- Field or shop background in the glass trade

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
