Gymnastics Coach – Ages 4–9

Riverdale Flip & Tumble is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic Gymnastics Coach to join our team! We are a recreational gymnastics studio focused on creating a positive, encouraging, and fun environment where children can build confidence, develop new skills, and fall in love with movement.

About the Role

As a Gymnastics Coach, you will lead recreational gymnastics classes for children ages 4–9. Coaches are responsible for creating a protected, engaging, and supportive class environment while helping children develop age-appropriate gymnastics skills.

Responsibilities

- Part-time hours, Mon to Friday 3:15-7:15 pm, Sat 10:30-5 pm and Sun 10:30-1:30 pm
- Lead fun, structured recreational gymnastics classes for children ages 4–9
- Teach fundamental gymnastics positions (straight, straddle, tuck and pikw position and jumps) safe forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, round-offs, run hurdle cartwheels, run hurdle round-offs.
- Set up and lead gymnastics circuits, stations, games, and skill-building activities
- Provide safe and appropriate spotting and hands-on assistance when required
- Create an inclusive environment where every child feels welcomed, supported, and successful

- Energetic, enthusiastic, and confident working with children
- Patient, encouraging, and able to connect with different personalities
- Reliable, punctual,



and professional
- Comfortable managing groups of children ages 4–9
- Able to take initiative while also working well as part of a team
- Passionate about helping children build skills, confidence, and a love for gymnastics
- Available for consistent weekly shifts throughout the gymnastics session

Qualifications
- Previous gymnastics, coaching, teaching, recreation, camp, or childcare experience is an asset
- Gymnastics experience is strongly preferred
- TDSB teachers are a bonus!
- Knowledge of foundational gymnastics skills and safe progressions is an asset
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- Successful candidates may be required to provide a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Training and support will be provided based on experience
