Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a robust mechanical knowledge and experience in repairing and maintaining commercial trucks & trailers, compact / heavy equipment. This role is critical in ensuring that our customers machinery operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our customers operations.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of machinery, including but not limited to commercial trucks & trailers, skid steers, excavators, and telehandlers.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct welding and fabrication tasks as needed to repair or modify equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for repairs and maintenance.
- Collaborate with operators to understand equipment performance issues and provide timely solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on industrial equipment.
- Assist in the operation of heavy machinery when required.

Experience





- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or similar role, preferably with 3-4+ years experience
- Valid Class 5 drivers licence is required, Air endorsement or Class 3 licence is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation and automotive repair principles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for various repair tasks.
- Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.

Pay: $32.45-$50.85 per hour

Experience

- Mechanical: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (required)
- Formal Training (preferred)
- Air Brake Endorsement (preferred)
