Position Overview

CFT Recycling is hiring two Heavy Truck Mechanics to join our Fleet Maintenance team. This is a year-round, outdoor role supporting our busy recycling and transportation operations, with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and preventative maintenance.

Reporting to the Fleet Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, inspecting, and maintaining heavy trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

The pay range for this position is $40-45 depending on your skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing on Transport, Roll-off, Tow trucks and trailers
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, air brake, and suspension issues




- Complete repairs on engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, and suspension systems
- Troubleshoot and repair trailer systems and components
- Maintain accurate repair records and service documentation
- Respond to breakdowns and complete emergency repairs as required
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and trailers
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
- Knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and in a team workplace
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Valid driver’s license is required
- 310T license considered a strong asset
