Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Hog Farm Foreman/Woman to lead daily operations on a busy hog farm. In this vital role, you will oversee the care, management, and health of the hog herd while ensuring the smooth functioning of farm machinery, and maintenance activities. Your energetic leadership will help maintain high standards of animal welfare, operational efficiency, and safety.

Duties

- Supervise daily farm activities, including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring of hogs
- Ensure farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed and assist in the development and implementation of these procedures
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as tractors, loaders, and other farm machinery to support cropping tasks
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs using hand tools and power tools to keep equipment in top condition
- Coordinate with team members to implement best farm and cropping practices in animal husbandry and farm safety protocols




- Maintain accurate production and performance records
- Manage inventory of supplies, feed, and maintenance parts to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and ensure adherence to safety standards during all physical activities

Qualifications

- Proven mechanical knowledge related to farm machinery and equipment maintenance
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong understanding of farm maintenance procedures and use of hand tools and power tools
- Basic math skills for inventory management, measurements, and record keeping

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 55.0 per week
