Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Hockey Skills Coach to inspire and develop players of all ages and skill levels. In this role, you will deliver engaging, high-quality coaching sessions focused on enhancing individual hockey techniques, tactical understanding, and overall game performance. Responsibilities

- Design and implement comprehensive skill development programs tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Conduct engaging coaching sessions focused on skating, puck handling, shooting, passing, and game tactics
- Provide constructive feedback to players to improve technique, confidence, and performance
- Demonstrate proper techniques through live demonstrations and visual aids to enhance learning
- Foster a positive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, discipline, and enjoyment of hockey




- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to plan practices, evaluate player progress, and organize team activities
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all training sessions and activities

Qualifications

- Proven experience in coaching hockey or related sports at youth or adult levels
- Strong teaching skills with the ability to communicate clearly and motivate players effectively
- Knowledge of hockey fundamentals, rules, and strategies
- Ability to demonstrate skating skills and technical drills confidently
- Experience in teaching swimming is a valuable asset for integrating water safety into training programs
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for developing athletes and promoting healthy activity
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed
