We are seeking an experienced, self-directed Human Resources Business Partner to support operations across Northern Alberta, Manitoba, and Mississauga. This position is ideal for a confident HR skilled who can independently manage a diverse regional portfolio while building trusted relationships with employees and leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with leaders on employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, organizational development, and HR compliance.
- Hold regular meetings with portfolio leaders to identify business needs and develop effective HR solutions.
- Manage complex employee and labour relations matters, including investigations, grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Interpret employment legislation, HR policies, procedures, and collective bargaining agreements.
- Coach leaders on performance improvement, career development, compensation, succession planning, and employee retention.
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, selection, promotions, and transfers in support of staffing plans.
- Analyze HR trends and metrics and recommend programs, policies,
and process improvements.
- Administer compensation reviews and performance-management processes within UKG.
- Process HRIS requests while maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
- Identify training needs and assist with developing and delivering employee and leadership programs.
- Support labour negotiations by preparing required documentation and records.
- Travel regularly to supported locations.
Qualifications
- HR Generalist ablle to wear multiple hats
- At least five years of well-rounded HR Business Partner experience.
- Three to five years of employee and labour relations experience.
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in Human Resources, Labour Relations, Business, or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of applicable federal and provincial employment legislation.
- Experience across employee relations, recruitment, compensation, training, performance management, and policy development.
- Two or more years of HRIS experience preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
