Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct Safety Inspections
- Develop and update HSE policies reflecting current regulations and best practices.
- Organize and conduct training sessions for employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures and proper use of equipment.
- Ensuring compliance of employees before going to the field.
- Investigate accidents and incidents to determine their cause and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement measures to mitigate them.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports and training sessions.
- Work closely with the HSE Director to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure they do not pose health risks to employees and that environmental regulations are followed.
Required Skills
- Certificate,
diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Experience in hazard identification & control, emergency response planning, incident investigations and inspections.
- Demonstrate good communication with internal and external clients.
- Solid knowledge of Federal and Provincial Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to travel to remote project locations as required.
The HSE Coordinator will report directly to HSE Director. Job Type : Full-Time, Fixed term contract
Contract length : 6 months with a possibility for extension or becoming permanent.
Work location : Head Office, Saskatoon
