Responsibilities:

- Design building mechanical systems including HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, and utility systems




- Lead and manage a team of engineering and technical professionals
- Manage project delivery, budgets, schedules, and client expectations
- Develop technical reports, engineering documentation, and value engineering analyses
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout project execution
- Review shop drawings, RFIs, and field observations to support construction activities
- Provide technical troubleshooting and recommendations for facility mechanical systems
- Ensure designs and construction activities comply with applicable codes, standards, and specifications

Requirements:

- Hold a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
- Possess 7+ years of HVAC and building mechanical design experience
- Demonstrate experience leading teams and mentoring engineering staff
- Show strong project management experience on multidiscipline projects
- Maintain a P.Eng, CET designation, or be working towards professional registration
- Demonstrate expertise with AutoCAD, Revit, and Autodesk design tools
- Understand Canadian and industry codes including OBC, NBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA, and related standards
- Communicate effectively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment
