Part-Time | Evenings & Weekends | Competitive Hourly Contract Rate

Study with Sarah is a growing private tutoring company serving families across York and Durham Region. We specialize in personalized, high-quality academic support from early years through senior high school.

We are currently hiring in-person tutors to support middle school and high school students in:

- Grade 5–12 Mathematics
- Advanced Functions
- Calculus & Vectors
- Physics
- Chemistry
- General STEM support

This role requires availability for in-person sessions in Aurora or Newmarket, either in students’ homes or at local public libraries.

Responsibilities

- Deliver 1:1 in-person tutoring sessions (60–90 minutes)
- Support students with curriculum-aligned instruction (Ontario curriculum)
- Assist with homework, test prep, and exam preparation
- Build student confidence and independent learning skills
- Communicate professionally with parents and provide brief session updates when needed

Qualifications

- University student (3rd/4th year), graduate student, Teacher Candidate, or OCT preferred
- Strong academic background in math/science (Engineering, Science, Math, Education programs an asset)
- Confident teaching Grade 5–12 curriculum




- Reliable transportation to travel within York Region
- Professional, punctual, and robust communicator
- Experience tutoring or teaching is strongly preferred

Schedule

- Primarily after-school hours (3:30pm–8:30pm)
- Some weekend availability considered
- Flexible scheduling based on your availability

Compensation

- Competitive hourly contract rate (based on qualifications and experience) $30-$40/hr
